Our server Ryan was awesome & attentive as we stopped in as first timers for early lunch. Our meals: The South of Border w/ side salad, Salmon BLT w/side salad sprinkled with feta were a palate pleasing hit! I enjoyed chocolate lava cake, vanilla ice cream & strawberries before my meal it was heavenly.

Really cozy garden level bar and restaurant with good food and service. It was almost empty when I was there on a Sunday afternoon, but I imagine it fills up more in the evening. I had a great meal and glass of wine, and they gave me a lemon drop shot on the house with my check. Would definitely come back!

Somewhat small in the lower level of an old brick house - with a bar, a couple of rooms, and a patio for outdoor seating. Excellent variety. Several fancy cocktails with a focus on ginger beer. Varied selection of appetizers such as nachos, brussels sprouts, spicy wontons, and an artichoke dip. Several choices of burgers, a mix of entrees across all types of meat and even vegetarian. The beet salad was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Service was great; the workers very clearly take pride in their work with a focus on service.

American style resturant with unique menu options. I had the south of the border burger which is quite tasty. They have multiple fries options feom reg to sweet potato to garlic parmesian. I opted for Garlic Parm...didn't like it that much. I though the flavor would be.cooked in it was.more added to the finish product taking away from it the borne in flavor. They have a full bar and free shot for yelpers checking in. The service was amazing love our waitress. The ambiance is low lit low noise with a romantic feel. They have outdoor sitting as well. It a nice little hideaway for sure. I would definitely say little pricey. about 55 dollars a person. To be honest food was not on the level of the price. But I would def go again when in the chicago land area

I've lived in Lakeview for 3.5 years, and I'm sad I didn't give this place a shot until now! From their location across the street from Trader Joe's, I've seen Matisse, but it wasn't until I saw a TikTok video about their martinis that I decided to pop in for a visit. The patio is a great size and romantic with the twinkly lights. We asked to sit inside due to humidity, and every member of the staff and very friendly. We sat at the bar, and the bartender immediately explained their menu. The staff noticed we were mainly watching the Olympics on the TV at the other end of the bar instead of whatever was in the TV in front of us, and they changed the channel for us! We ordered a French 75 and a Pimm's Cup, and both were very good!! I would definitely go back, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their evening!

Met up with some friends from Chicago for dinner here and had a great time! We checked in on the Yelp app for a free shot to start the meal and the servers were all great - even bringing us another shot at the end of our meal "for the road." The drinks were excellent - I got a Saint Matisse (I love anything elderflower) which was refreshing and well balanced but on the sweeter side. Everyone else got beers - no matter your taste, there are plenty of options. The wonton appetizer (featured on some TV show) was actually my least favorite part of the meal but was still excellent. Definitely on the spicier side but pretty tasty! I got the rosemary chicken and really enjoyed it - the chicken was well cooked and portioned, and the veggies tasted fresh. A got a burger that he enjoyed and I had some of his fries, which were delicious! During the meal, it was busy but not packed and the music was a perfect volume. We also spent a while after our meal chatting and never felt like we were being rushed out, which I appreciated.

This was my first time here and I will be back! We sat outside and the patio was enjoyable and clean. The service was amazing -- everyone was so nice and accommodating. They are known for their cocktails, and the Moscow Mule was the best I've ever had! We also ordered the Mac n Cheese and the Sweet Precision and Soft Collision burger. Both were fantastic and I'm eager to try more of their food.

Anna and Alex are amazing! Spectacular drinks and solid food. Take a trip downstairs and spend your night exploring a beautiful cocktail menu and tasty food selection. We love coming here!
